Cumming Country Fair And Festival 2017 Opens Thursday
The festival, at the Cumming Fairgrounds, runs from Oct. 5-15.

CUMMING, GA — Fall means it's fair and festival season, and Cumming has one of metro Atlanta's biggest ones starting up this week.
The Cumming Country Fair & Festival opens at the Cumming Fairgrounds on Thursday and begins an 11-day run that will continue through Oct. 15. Established in 1995, the fair will feature rides, concerts, carnival games, history and craft exhibits and plenty more.
The fair started as a five-day event but has since been expanded to 11 days, making it the fairgrounds' signature event each year.

This year's concert lineup features Kellie Pickler on Oct. 6, Gene Watson on Oct. 10, and Thompson Square on Oct. 12.
Other entertainment will include the Marvel Super Heroes Team on Oct. 11, American Bull Riders' Tour on Oct. 14 and 15, and numerous daily acts and exhibits.

There will be a petting zoo and pony rides, as well as daily historical displays and demonstrations in the Fairgrounds' Heritage Village and Cherokee Indian Village. Dozens of food vendors will provide all the cotton candy, funnel cake and other festival treats you can eat.
The fair will be open 4-10 p.m. on Monday through Thursday, 4 p.m.-midnight on Friday, 10 a.m.-midnight on Saturday and 12:30 p.m.-9 p.m. on Sunday.
Admission is $7 for anyone age 11 and up. Ages 10 and under get in free. Parking costs $5. No pets, coolers or alcohol will be allowed.
Cumming Fairgrounds is located at 235 Castleberry Rd. in Cumming.
