FBI Still Seeking Walmart Armed Robbers

One of the suspects fired a shot into the floor of the Walmart in Cumming during an Oct. 7 armed robbery, the bureau said.

The FBI is joining the Forsyth County Sheriff’s Office and other local law enforcement agencies to track down the people responsible for a series of armed robberies of Walmarts in the metro Atlanta area.

Between the hours of 10:00 p.m. and midnight, an armed robber wearing a surgical mask will enter the store, brandish a firearm and rob the nearest cashier, the FBI says.

The FBI says that at least two of the robberies it is believed that there is a black female posing as a customer inside the store at the time of the robbery and it is believed she is coordinating efforts with the armed robber prior to the actual robbery occurring and then leaving the store after the robbery is conducted.

Since May, eight Walmart armed robberies have followed this pattern in the metro area, according to the bureau.

On Oct. 7, the armed robber and his alleged accomplice targeted the Walmart on Peachtree Parkway in Cumming. The FBI says that during this robbery, the robber fired a round into the floor by the cash register.
