Free Dental Care For Children Later This Month In Cumming
Local dental office will participate in Give Kids a Smile Day, a national event designed to bring dental care to underserved children.
CUMMING, GA —A local dental office is doing its part this month to help underserved children in Forsyth County gain access to much needed dental care, according to Forsyth County News.
On Wednesday Feb. 24, Cumming Dental Smiles, 5770 Bethelview Rd. in Cumming, will host a Give Kids a Smile Day event, which will provide free dental care to children, between the ages of 1-10, whose parents may not have dental insurance.
The event will take place from 8 a.m. and 1 p.m. and appointments are necessary. Children will receive X-rays, an exam, cleaning, oral hygiene instructions, fluoride application and a goodie bag containing home oral hygiene products. Appointments can be booked by calling 770-205-0466, and space is limited.

According to the American Dental Association, The Give Kids a Smile program launched in 2003, and each year approximately 6,500 dentists and 30,000 dental team volunteers at local events provide screenings, preventative and restorative treatment to over 300,000 children. Over 6 million underserved children have received free oral health care services through the program.
