Gainesville Woman, 42, Dies In Head-On Collision On Keith Bridge

A 42-year-old woman from Gainesville died Thursday when her vehicle collided head-on with another on Keith Bridge Road, officials said.

CUMMING, GA — A Gainesville, Georgia woman died Thursday after a head-on collision, officials said.

At 2:21 p.m. on Thursday, the Forsyth County Sheriff’s Office and the Forsyth County Fire Department responded to a two-vehicle crash on Keith Bridge Road near Leland Drive in northeast Forsyth County.

Officials said a 2018 white Jeep Compass, driven by Mitchell Brown, 29, of Cumming, was traveling east on Keith Bridge Road. The Jeep crossed over the double yellow line striking, head-on, a 2005 black Toyota Scion which was traveling west on Keith Bridge Road. The Toyota was driven by Candi Tucker, 42, of Gainesville, Georgia, and Chasity Sawyer, 26, occupied the front passenger seat.

According to Deputy First Class Matt Kirk, Traffic Investigator with the Forsyth County Sheriff’s Office, Tucker was pronounced dead at the scene.

Sawyer and Brown were both taken to a local hospital by ambulance with non-life-threatening injuries.

The crash remains under investigation by the Forsyth County Sheriff’s Office Traffic Specialist Unit.
