GDOT Awards $3M Resurfacing Project For Ga. 20
This project has a completion date of February 2020 and will cost a little more than $3 million.
CUMMING, GA — Resurfacing of Ga. 20 will soon begin and last until next winter.
The Georgia Department of Transportation awarded two resurfacing projects to the Northeast Region on April 5.
In Forsyth County, 3.09 miles of Ga. 20 will be resurfaced by C.W. Matthews Contracting Co., Inc. Project limits start on Ga. 20 south of Samaritan Drive to west of Ga. 20.

This project has a completion date of February 2020 and represents a construction contract amount of $3,083,460.99.
Lane closures and any interruptions to traffic during this work will be communicated to the traveling public as the project starts.

In Banks County, 7.89 miles of resurfacing will be replacing the driving surface on Ga. 51 from Ga. 164 to the Franklin County line. This project was awarded to Pittman Construction Company for $3.618,099.35 million and has a scheduled completion in February 2020.
