Georgia Weather Forecast: A Rainy Weekend In Metro Atlanta
Tropical Storm Nate is headed well west of here, but north Georgia, including metro Atlanta, will get plenty of rain and likely storms.

ATLANTA, GA — Tropical Storm Nate's path appears to be headed well west of Georgia, but the Peach State will get plenty of rain, and possibly some severe thunderstorms, this weekend anyway.
Starting Saturday, metro Atlanta is in for a few days during which rain and storms are almost a certainty. There will be an 80 percent chance of rain by Saturday night, and that chance will continue all the way through Sunday night.
Forecasters expect it will already be raining when bands of rain and wind from Nate, which could become a hurricane and is expected to strike the Gulf Coast, push their way northeast into north Georgia late Saturday or early Sunday.
