Girls on the Run Fall 2018

Fall Registration, Open House/Info Session at Academy Sports + Outdoors on August 4th, 2018 drop in from 10am to 3pm!

Girls on the Run North Georgia announces the Fall 2018 season of the Girls on the Run program, serving girls in grades 3-8 in Forsyth, Cherokee, Dawson, Hall, White and Athens-Clarke counties. The program begins the week of August 27. Registration for the program may be completed online on the Girls on the Run North Georgia website (www.girlsontherunnorthga.org).

Girls on the Run inspires girls to be joyful, healthy, and confident using a fun, experience-based curriculum which creatively integrates running. Participants will meet twice per week with their group. During these sessions, trained coaches will facilitate a lesson from the Girls on the Run curriculum and integrate physical activity at different points throughout the lesson. At the end of the 10-week season, Girls on the Run hosts a celebratory, non-competitive 5K run to mark the completion of the program. Girls on the Run is dedicated to creating a world where every girl knows and activates her limitless potential and is free to boldly pursue her dreams.

Girls on the Run North Georgia is an independent council of Girls on the Run International, a 501(c)3 organization which has a network of over 200 councils across 50 states. Girls on the Run North Georgia was established in 2005 to serve north Georgia counties and has had over 7,000 participants over the past 13 years.
