Happy Father’s Day To Bennett Westbrook
"It's hard to put into words just how much he meant to me, my daughter and my husband."

In celebration of Father's Day on Sunday June 17, we asked Patch readers to write a letter to their father and let us deliver it. This is Julia Whitley's letter to her dad:
Happy Father’s Day to my dad, Bennett Westbrook!
I had my sweet dad for almost 57 years until he went to be with the Lord and my Mom, Carolyn Westbrook, on May 19, 2018. I’m sure that was the happiest day of his life!

It’s hard to put into words just how much he meant to me, my daughter and my husband. He was a hard-working man who provided us with everything we needed and everything we wanted, within reason. There was not a selfish bone in his body, and he was always there to help everyone!
Dad had so many great stories in his life that it didn’t matter how many times you heard them — along with his laugh, they never got old.

He loved the outdoors, and that’s where he took his last breath.
He is now healed from his loneliness and sickness and rejoicing in heaven, right where he wanted to be.
There were very few days that I didn’t say, “I love you,” and I absolutely have no regrets for all the days and time I spent with him.
You will always be in our hearts, Dad. Until we meet again!
With all our love,
Your daughter, Julia, your granddaughter, Madison and your son-in-law, Mike (who looked up to you like a dad)
