Korean Steakhouse, Facial Bar, Pet Retailer Coming To Halcyon
Facial bar Clean Your Dirty Face, Iron Age Korean Steak House and pet retailer Unexpected Pooch Bistro & Boutique will open this summer.

CUMMING, GA — Three new tenants have signed on at the mixed-use village in Forsyth County. The 30-minute facial bar Clean Your Dirty Face, grill-it-yourself restaurant Iron Age Korean Steak House and pet-centric retailer Unexpected Pooch Bistro & Boutique are all slated to open this summer. With these announcements, Halcyon’s roster of first-to-market and locally owned shops and eateries increases to 39 concepts.
“As we continue to handpick Halcyon’s curated tenant mix, it’s clear the stand-out retailers and restaurants in today’s marketplace offer personalized, interactive and memorable experiences,” said Phil Mays, principal at RocaPoint Partners. “Combining originality, exceptional customer service and ties to the local community, new tenants like Clean Your Dirty Face, Iron Age and Unexpected Pooch are well aligned with our vision for a modern gathering place in Forsyth County.”
The Clean Your Dirty Face team consists of licensed estheticians and their simple process is modified to fit different skin types to leave clients with clean, more radiant skin in less than 30 minutes. Clean Your Dirty Face first launched in Chicago, Illinois in 2015, and the cheeky company has quickly spread to Austin, Texas; Los Angeles, California; Charlotte, North Carolina; and Boulder, Colorado; with new locations announced in Seattle, Washington; and Orlando, Florida. The Halcyon studio marks the brand’s first foray into Georgia and will carry its full collection of clean, non-toxic skincare products including bestsellers like the anti-aging Goddess line, Green Monster line for acne-prone skin, and lemon-based products for a brightening line. Located behind Halcyon’s Market Hall and adjacent to Diesel Barbershop, the 760-square-foot franchise location is locally owned by Nicky Gandhi, an Alpharetta resident and friend of Clean Your Dirty Face founder, Shama Patel.

“I’ve been waiting for the right place and time to introduce Clean Your Dirty Face’s unique facial bar experience to metro Atlanta, and Halcyon is that place,” Gandhi said. “While the name and signature colorful storefronts turn heads and draw people in, our chic and easy facials will keep them coming back.”
Additional new tenants, Iron Age Korean Steak House and Unexpected Pooch Bistro & Boutique, may be more familiar to metro Atlantans. Since opening in 2008 as metro Atlanta’s first all-you-can-eat Korean barbecue restaurant, Duluth-based Iron Age has expanded with locations in Sandy Springs, Kennesaw and Toco Hills, as well as Maryland, Virginia and Thailand. Using tabletop grills, guests are guided by staff to cook sizzling strips of pork belly, beef bulgogi and much more.

With an emphasis on a family-friendly experience, the 3,800-square-foot Halcyon outpost will be located adjacent to Popbar and feature 30 grills with a clean, modern design.
“At Iron Age, we want to create an engaging dining environment where people can be themselves with large groups or share intimate moments that won’t soon be forgotten,” said Kenny Kim, founder of Iron Age. “We’re excited to bring our homestyle, do-it-yourself approach to Korean barbecue to Halcyon.”
Another locally owned concept, Unexpected Pooch Bistro & Boutique was created by Starla Pellegrino in 2018. With 10 years of industry experience in Atlanta, Pellegrino is dedicated to creating a place “where pet nutrition meets canine high fashion.” Unexpected Pooch offers best-in-class food and treats for pets, paying close attention to healthy ingredients and overall nutrition, as well as trendsetting pet accessories sourced from all over the globe. Located across from CMX CineBistro and next to Salata Salad Kitchen, the 600-square-foot Halcyon shop will resemble an upscale French bistro, complete with black-and-white tile and outdoor seating.
“The direct access to the Big Creek Greenway and the dog-friendly culture make Halcyon the perfect fit for Unexpected Pooch’s second location,” Pellegrino said. “We may have a small footprint at Halcyon, but hope to have a big impact in the community as we help customers’ furry friends live their best lives from the inside out.”
Since Halcyon’s debut last fall, a total of 25 restaurants and retailers have opened at the mixed-use village. Land of A Thousand Hills, Never Enough Thyme, Salata Salad Kitchen, Holmes Slice, Frenchie’s Royal House of Frites and Meats, HOBNOB Tavern and Cattle Shed Wine & Steak Bar are coming soon, as well as Pharaoh Nails & Spa and new fitness concept, Joey.
