Lambert Student Wins Optimist Club Essay Contest
Lambert High student Kashvi Mundra won first place in the Sawnee-Cumming Optimist Club's 2020-2021 student essay contest.

CUMMING, GA — “I used optimism to become the curious child I was once upon a time, granted wiser and more aware of the world around me. The most crucial part is that optimism will not only help me achieve my dreams, it has also guided me towards a better mindset and lifestyle. Although there would always be storm clouds on the horizon, the sun would always shine afterward.” Kashvi Mundra was reading from her essay that won first place in the Sawnee-Cumming Optimist Club’s 2020-2021 student essay contest.
The contest is an annual essay competition sponsored by the Sawnee-Cumming Club. It is open to all Forsyth County students. This year’s theme was "Reaching Your Dreams by Choosing Optimism."
A senior at Lambert High School, Kashvi likes science, especially physics. In her spare time, she enjoys music. She is committed to Georgia Tech after graduating high school.

We congratulate her on winning first place. And thanks to all the students and teachers who participated in this year’s outstanding competition.”
Kashvi was awarded $500 and a first place medallion. Her essay will compete as the club's entry in the district competition.
