Leading Orthopaedic Practice Remains Open & Ready During COVID-19
Northview Orthopaedic Associates to serve urgent needs, reducing need to access care through emergency rooms and urgent care facilities

Dr. G. Alan Binkley and the staff of Northview Orthopaedic Associates in Dahlonega remains open to serve the urgent needs of the community during the COVID-19 (coronavirus) crisis. This includes offering office visits, imaging services such as x-ray and MRI and urgent surgery in the Northview surgery center when needed. By caring for orthopaedic sprains, strains and fractures, Northview can reduce the need for patients to access care through emergency rooms and urgent care facilities. This will free up these facilities and providers to care for patients affected by Coronavirus.
"We are taking the utmost caution to protect our patients and staff through pre-screening, nurse check-in when arriving at the office, staggering appointments and postponing non-urgent appointments and surgery," said Dr. Binkley. "Northview is also offering new Telehealth appointments to continue to serve our community during this difficult time. Telehealth can be an invaluable resource for patients who are not able or should not leave their home at this time."
Dr. Binkley, a longtime resident of Cumming, added Northview is doing everything it can to ensure the safety of both patients and staff. They are closely monitoring information and updates from the national, state and local governments, including the CDC. Based on current guidelines, Northview has postponed elective surgeries until further notice.
