Hogan Palmer, a 2019 graduate of Pinecrest Academy in Forsyth County, was awarded the Presidential Scholarship to Rollins College in the amount of $120,000. This award was based on academic performance, as well as service and involvement, an SAT score higher than 1290 or an ACT higher than 27. He was accepted into the Crummer MBA Business School, and also plans to play Division II Lacrosse at Rollins.

In addition to his lacrosse achievements at Pinecrest Academy, Palmer’s athletic talents also shone on the track. He competed in the GHSA Track and Field State Finals in May at Berry College, finishing 8th in State in the 100 meter. He ran a personal best of 11.14 in the Semi-finals to qualify for State. His personal best was a Pinecrest record, held previously by Ricardo Garcia '11.

Palmer was also the recipient of the 2019 Head of the School Scholarship, presented to him on Graduation day, an honor which recognizes a Pinecrest student who has demonstrated great humility in leadership and service to his peers.
