New Stores, Barbershop Open At Halcyon

CUMMING, GA — Three new businesses have officially opened in Halcyon.

OAR Finer Goods and Diesel Barbershop have opened their doors to the mixed-use village, 6365 Halcyon Way, welcoming men of all ages that seek to step up their style in settings tailored to them.

OAR Finer Goods, a men’s accessories and lifestyle concept opened at Halcyon on Nov. 22, marking the independent retailer’s second location. Founded in Blue Ridge, Georgia earlier this year, OAR was created as a complementary counterpart to its sister concept, Canoe, a fine leather goods boutique that also operates a Halcyon location. OAR offers a curated assortment of locally and nationally sourced products from popular lifestyle brands such as Fulton & Roark and Brackish Bow Ties. OAR also offers original leather pieces ranging from coasters and keychains, to high-end items such as hand-forged jewelry and leather bags. Unisex items such as T-shirts, apothecary goods, Dopp kits, leather wallets, cigar humidors, journals, passport covers, candles and more are also available.

Designed to evoke a brooding charm and inspired by naturalistic scenes, the retail space for OAR is a short walk from Canoe, next to Lizard Thicket and across from the central Village Green.

OAR will be open from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. Monday through Saturday 10 a.m. to 9 p.m., and from noon to 6 p.m. on Sundays.

Diesel Barbershop, a throwback barbershop for men, opened within the mixed-use village on Nov. 16. The barbershop focuses on an unforgettable and enjoyable experience with rock ‘n’ roll music, old school arcade games and barber services. In an industry full of female-centric services, Diesel stands out as a refreshing sanctuary for guys. An edgy mancave for haircuts, Diesel Barbershop is part barbershop and part arcade. Customers can watch sports, play video games, listen to music, shoot the breeze and enjoy a cold beverage – all while enjoying the many services. Diesel offers service staples, including shampoos, haircuts and neck shaves, scalp massages and hot towel treatments with catchy names like “Fade the Gray” or “Mega Beard Trim.”

Diesel is situated between the Mercedes-Benz Experience Center by RBM of Alpharetta and Totally Running and Walking on Halcyon Way.

Diesel will be open from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Monday through Friday, from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m on Saturdays, and from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Sundays.

Society Boutique, an upscale shopping destination with a collection of popular brands and locally sourced, handmade pieces, opened Dec. 7.

With a mix of quality clothing, accessories, home decor and gifts, Society Boutique aims to be a go-to shopping destination for women of all ages. In addition to the latest trends from well-known brands, such as Show Me Your MuMu, AG Jeans and The Giving Keys, Society Boutique offers handmade pieces from women-owned businesses. At Society’s Halcyon location, several gifts and accessories, including candles, jewelry, art and more, are crafted by artisans and jewelers from around Georgia.

Society Boutique is located next to Canoe, across from Cherry Street Brewpub and the valet station.
