Nightly Closures For Resurfacing Ga. 20 Start Monday
Crews will work Monday through Sunday from 7 p.m. to 6 a.m. and continue for the next six months.

CUMMING, GA — A resurfacing project on Ga. 20 will start Monday at 7 p.m. between Samaritan Drive and Samples Road.
This project was awarded to C.W. Matthews Contracting, Co. Inc. in March, and it will resurface just over six miles of Ga. 20 including the area in downtown Cumming.
Crews will work Monday through Sunday from 7 p.m. to 6 a.m. and continue for the next six months. Both eastbound and westbound lanes will be resurfaced and this work will be done weather-permitting.

Georgia DOT is developing potential improvements along Ga. 20 from I-575 in Canton to the west side of Cumming. Ga. 20 is a major east-west thoroughfare on the northern edge of metropolitan Atlanta. Residents and the commuting public experience congestion, limited mobility, and safety issues along this heavily traveled corridor.
