North Forsyth's New Gym Tops Out

The competition gymnasium at North Forsyth High School now has all its structural steel in place, according to a report.

CUMMING, GA -- A small ceremony marking the completion of the structural steel of North Forsyth High School’s new competition gymnasium took place late last week, according to a report.

The final steel beam lifted into place on Friday bore the signatures of teachers, faculty, and staff, and was topped with a small Christmas tree, honoring a tradition believed to originate in ancient Scandanavia, Forsyth County News reports.

Once the gym is finished in June, the building will contain new classrooms, an atrium cafeteria, additional parking, and a more secure front entrance.
