CUMMING, GA — Furkids Animal Rescue and Shelters will soon begin monthly pet vaccine and microchip clinics at its Cumming headquarters at 5235 Union Hill Road.

Each month, pet families will be able to schedule appointments and/or walk-in for a variety of services for their dog or cat, including rabies and bordetella vaccines, heartworm tests, exams, and microchipping. In addition, families will be able to experience the shelter’s new 9-acre facility and enjoy family-friendly fun including seasonal, catio tours, puppy playdates, live music by Bach to Rock, a musical petting zoo, and more. All proceeds from the event will benefit Furkids lifesaving work.

“Vaccinating your pet is one of the easiest things you can do to help them live a long and healthy life," Furkids Founder and CEO Samantha Shelton said. “Adding monthly vaccine clinics to the Furkids event’s calendar provides us with an opportunity to raise awareness about the importance of pet immunization and also further connect with our pet-loving community."
