Pinecrest Athlete Commits to Mercer to Play D1 Lacrosse
Molly Dankowski was Member of Pinecrest Inaugural Lacrosse Team, playing JV as Eighth Grader

Pinecrest Academy rising junior, Molly Dankowski, verbally committed during her sophomore year to play D1 lacrosse at Mercer University in Macon, Georgia. Dankowski is one of the youngest college commits for Pinecrest, a private PreK-12 Catholic school in Cumming, as well as, the first 2018 Mercer Women’s Lacrosse commit.
Dankowski began receiving invitations the summer of 2015 to tour and meet with coaches from thirteen D1 schools. She received several offers, but her decision came down to selection of a University with a great academic reputation, a strong commitment to athletics, and one that was close to home.
Dankowski started playing lacrosse in third grade. She played in the Longhorns recreational program and the Stampede Lacrosse Club. In the 7th grade, she made the Eagle Stix Club team and has been playing for the team since.

Dankowski was a member of the 2014 Pinecrest inaugural Ladies Lacrosse team. That year, she played on the JV team as an eighth grader and played Varsity during the 2015 and 2016 seasons.
In 2015, Molly was selected to the All-county team and was nominated to play in the exclusive invite-only NIKE ELITE 120 showcase in New Jersey in January 2016, which featured the top 120 sophomores across the nation. Dankowski competed in front more than eighty D1 college coaches, where she was recognized as a “highlighted performer.”
