Pinecrest Senior Lauren Cobak Named 2017 STAR Student

Earning Highest Score from Single SAT Test Part of Criteria for Selection

Pinecrest Academy’s 2017 nomination for the Professional Association of Georgia Educators (PAGE) Student Teacher Achievement Recognition (STAR) Student is senior Lauren Cobak. She had the highest score from a single SAT test and was in the top 10 percent at the end of her junior year, two of the criteria for being selected for this honor.

Cobak has nominated Mr. Len Insalaca, Band Director at Pinecrest Academy, as her STAR teacher.

The STAR Program honors Georgia’s highest achieving high school seniors and the teachers most instrumental in their academic development. Since the inception of the program, more than 24,000 STAR students and teachers have been honored.
