'The Profit' Puts Troubled Cumming 'Polar Bear' On National TV
"The Profit" takes a look at a Cumming business, "Polar Bear" coolers, in Tuesday's episode on CNBC.

CUMMING, GA — Polar Bear Coolers of Cumming has a product that people want, but as "The Profit" shows with business after business, there's a lot more to success than having something consumers desire enough to shell out their money.
For one, a business has to get that product to consumers. That's clear in Tuesday's episode, airing nationally Tuesday on CNBC at 10 p.m.
"The Profit's" host and potential investor Marcus Lemonis, examines the people, process and product to determine whether he wants to invest in companies to make them profitable and grow them.

And Polar Bear owner Strud Nash has problems with inventory control and his own employees.
Past episodes of "The Profit" have featured struggles between owners and employees, struggles between owners and their families and struggles between owners and themselves. Sometimes, the featured people are hard-working entrepreneurs facing personal loss, unrealized growth or pending failure. Sometimes, they are facing all three.

In the case of Polar Bear Coolers, the owner can't get out of his own way. Sales have dropped dramatically. One problem: his sales pitch.
"I think one of the reasons sales are down is that Strud struggles with the ability to tell his story — of why people should even have his product," Lemonis says in one scene. "One of the best ways to perfect that is to do it one-on-one, face-to-face."
The show is scheduled for broadcast at 10 p.m. Eastern on CNBC.
"The Profit" is a show about business, but it's also about the people in business," Lemonis said in a CNBC news release. "For me, it's not just a financial investment, but rather an opportunity for a real transformation that helps set these business owners up for success."
"The Profit" airs nationally as a reality show focused on business but it typically exceeds all the true personal intrigue and high drama found in quality fictional programming.
Founder of Polar Bear Coolers shares the advice Marcus Lemonis gave him on 'The Profit' from CNBC.
