Renowned Catholic Author and Speaker to Preach Lenten Retreat

All are invited to a Lenten Retreat with Fr. Jacques Philippe, world renowned Catholic author and speaker, on Wednesday, March 7, from 7-8:30pm, in the Our Lady of Guadalupe Chapel on the Pinecrest Academy campus.

Fr. Jacques will give a reflection sure to make this holy Lenten season a more meaningful experience, as Christians pray, sacrifice, and give alms. Admission is free, but donations will be graciously accepted to cover Fr. Jacques' expenses.

With over one million books sold in 24 languages, Fr. Jacques Philippe’s writings on themes such as prayer, interior freedom, and peace of heart have become classics of modern Catholic spirituality. Some of his books include Interior Freedom, Time for God, Thirsting for Prayer, Call to Life, Real Mercy, Fire & Light. His writings will benefit anyone looking for spiritual guidance in the modern world.

A priest for over 40 years, Fr. Jacques’ vocation journey began when he met the then recently-founded Community of the Beatitudes in 1976 and answered the Lord’s call to follow Him through a priestly vocation. After years of study of Hebrew, theology and canon law, he began his work as a spiritual director, working in the formation of priests and seminarians of his Community. Currently, Fr. Jacques devotes most of his time to spiritual direction and preaching retreats.
