Alpha P-7, advanced manufacturing technology for instant lottery games, has made its operational debut at Scientific Games Corporation at the company’s Global Lottery Center of Excellence location in Forsyth County.

The Alpha P-7 technology, which is the company’s newest manufacturing technology for instant games advances creative game design and innovation for the Georgia Lottery Corporation and more than 120 global lottery customers of Scientific Games through a wide range of flexibility in game design elements such as security, color, images and ticket sizes. The additional volume created by this technology expansion is projected to add approximately 40 jobs to Forsyth County.

“Scientific Games is proud to be one of the first technology companies to invest in Forsyth County in the early 1990s and honored to employ more than 1,000 workforce professionals in Georgia,” Jim Kennedy, Executive Vice President and Chief Executive, Lottery Group for Scientific Games, said in a news release. “Forsyth County is home to more than 40 percent of our employees here. It’s a great place to work and live, and a short drive to the major metropolitan area of Atlanta.”

At a recent ribbon-cutting ceremony earlier this month celebrating the new technology, Georgia Gov. Nathan Deal congratulated Scientific Games on the addition of the new instant lottery game manufacturing technology and for the company’s continued major role in the state’s ability to produce what the governor called a “high-quality product that keeps HOPE alive.” The Georgia Lottery Corporation has raised more than $15 billion for the state’s HOPE Scholarship and Georgia Pre-K programs.

Scientific Games has been the instant game provider for the Georgia Lottery Corporation since its inception in 1993. The lottery is currently ranked second in the world for instant game per capita sales. Scientific Games developed the technology that launched the world’s very first secure instant lottery in 1974 and currently designs and manufactures more than 3,500 instant lottery games annually at five technology facilities throughout the world. Their manufacturing facility in Forsyth County- one of the county’s largest employers- has been in operation since the early 1990’s.
