Search Warrants Net 10 Pounds of Pot, Hash, Nearly $25K in Forsyth

An anonymous tip led to the arrests of two Forsyth County residents after two search warrants yielded 10 pounds of marijuana and nearly $25,000 in cash, according to a Forsyth County Sheriff's Office press release.

"Our investigation determined that large amounts of marijuana, 10 pounds or more, were being shipped on a weekly basis to (a) Pilgrim Mill Circle address from California and Colorado," the release says. 

FCSO conducted two separate drug search warrants Thursday, Nov. 14, and Friday, Nov. 15, one of which was the home of Brandon Dupont, 24, of Pilgrim Mill Circle in Cumming. 

He was arrested Thursday and charged with trafficking marijuana, possession with intent to distribute marijuana, manufacturing a Scheduled I drug—hash— and possession of Scheduled I drug. Ten pounds of suspected marijuana was recovered and $19,360 in cash was seized, according to the release. 

The second search warrant resulted in the arrest of Kerri Gray, 30, of Moor Point Drive in Cumming, who was jailed Friday on a possession with the intent to distribute marijuana charge. Authorities sezied $5,285 in cash from her. 

The search warrants, spurred from the department's anonymous tip line, consequently resulted in a monthlong investigation involving several hours of surveillance, authorities say.
