CUMMING, GA — Halcyon recently announced six retailers and restaurants are opening their doors at the mixed-use village throughout the remainder of the summer, bringing a fresh mix of offerings to the Big Creek Greenway-connected destination. The Gibson Co., Salata Salad Kitchen, Joey, Unexpected Pooch Bistro and Boutique and two Market Hall concepts, Holmes Slice and CT Al Pastor, are celebrating staggered openings between mid-June and early August.

  • The Gibson Co. – On June 20, Cumming-based home decor shop The Gibson Co. debuted its second location to Halcyon, where guests can discover one-of-a-kind creations from local artists or receive in-house interior design consultation. The Gibson Co. is occupying a storefront across from the Village Green and Cherry Street Brewpub, next to Nina + Leigh boutique.
  • Salata – On June 25, Salata Salad Kitchen is bringing its first Forsyth County location at Halcyon. The healthy, fast-casual restaurant is known for customizable bowls and wraps with the option of more than 50 ingredients and signature dressings. Located across from CMX Cinébistro and next to Unexpected Pooch, Salata is open 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. Monday through Saturday and 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. on Sunday.
  • Joey – Beginning June 29, Pilates and dance cardio studio Joey is offering private and duet Pilates sessions with limited capacity. Group fitness classes will commence on July 13, including reformer Pilates, mat Pilates and dance cardio classes. Schedules and booking opportunities are available on the website and via hello@joeyhalcyon.com.
  • CT Al Pastor – Due to popular demand, Halcyon’s CT Cantina Taqueria is expanding into Halcyon’s Market Hall with a new quick-service concept this July. Named after the popular spit-grilled style of cooking pork, CT Al Pastor will serve a curated menu of authentic Mexican-style tacos and bowls, as well as imported beers, CT’s beloved classic margaritas on the rocks and frozen cocktails including frose, piña coladas and more. Situated between Gu’s Dumplings and Sweet Tuna, the colorful design of the stall will be reminiscent of CT Cantina Taqueria while offering a grab-and-go option for guests on the Village Green.
  • Holmes Slice – Also expected to arrive in July, Holmes Slice is a chef-driven pizza concept coming to the Market Hall. From Taylor Neary, the owner and head chef of Restaurant Holmes, Holmes Slice pulls inspiration from the old-fashioned pizza parlors found in New York and Naples, Italy. Each pizza is handcrafted with made-from-scratch dough and locally sourced produce in a custom-made, wood-burning oven, all on display for guests to view through a window to the kitchen. The food stall is located to the right of Gu’s Dumplings.
  • Unexpected Pooch – Hosting a grand opening on August 8, Unexpected Pooch will welcome Halcyon’s many pet lovers with best-in-class food and treats, as well as trendsetting pet accessories sourced from all over the globe. Owned by Starla Pellegrino and first created in 2018, Unexpected Pooch represents an upscale French bistro, complete with black-and-white tile and outdoor seating. Store hours are Monday through Friday from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m., Saturday from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. and Sunday by appointment only.

“Thanks to the tremendous support from the Forsyth County community, Halcyon and our Market Hall continue to be a place where local entrepreneurs are growing their businesses and experimenting with creative ideas to serve guests in new ways,” said Phil Mays, principal at RocaPoint Partners and developer of Halcyon. “Since opening last Fall, we continue to listen to feedback from our neighbors and are thrilled to see the village evolve with the delivery of more original and first-to-market concepts, which collectively create a modern, outdoor-centric gathering place unlike anywhere else in metro Atlanta.”
