Storm Damage Shuts Parts of Big Creek Greenway
The two sections were damaged Tuesday evening, when strong thunderstorms roared through Forsyth County.

CUMMING, GA — Damage from heavy thunderstorms that swept through the area Tuesday evening have caused two portions of Forsyth County's Big Creek Greenway to temporarily close.
The Fowler Park Trailhead entrance to the greenway is temporarily shut down. This closure does not impact the Big Creek Greenway itself, and this entrance is expected to reopen by Saturday.
A more heavily damaged section of the greenway is the boardwalk between mile markers 8.1 and 8.2, located just south of the Bethelview Road Trailhead.

The Bethelview Road Trailhead will remain open to the public and users may travel north toward Kelly Mill Road. A reopen date for the southern section has not yet been determined due to the level of damage.
Forsyth County Parks & Recreation says it is working to repair the damage as quickly as possible. For up-to-
date information, contact Parks & Recreation directly at (770) 781-2215 or visit the Forsyth County parks website.
