Two Members of Pinecrest’s Class of 2021 to Attend West Point

Seniors Henry Borgerding and Mark Metz will continue their education together at the United States Military Academy

Pinecrest Academy seniors, Henry Borgerding and Mark Metz, will both be attending the United States Military Academy in the fall. In a class of 37 students, this is quite an accomplishment. The average acceptance rate to West Point is 12%.

Metz will wrestle for the USMA Black Knights, and celebrated his signing on April 21, 2021. He was joined by his family, including Pinecrest Academy alumnus and older brother, Fr. Michael Metz, who is a captain with the US Army Chaplain Corps. Another older brother and Pinecrest alum, Joe Metz, is a freshman at West Point.

Pinecrest Academy has sent numerous graduates to our country's federal service academies, beginning with the first graduating Class of 2007.
