Back to School: Important Dates to Add to Your Personal Calendars
Here's a quick look at five important dates in 2013-14 for Gwinnett County Public Schools.
Back to school is in season and the clock is ticking on summer vacation for students all over Gwinnett County. There's less than a week before the 2013-14 academic year begins for Gwinnett County Schools.
Here are five things to know about the school calendar:
1. Aug. 7: First day of cchool (It's OK to be a little jealous of Walton County next door, which starts school Aug. 14).
2. Nov. 25-29:Â Thanksgiving break. Hey kids, your parents only got Thursday and Friday off when they were your age.
3. Dec. 23-Jan. 6:Â Winter break. Wow. Includes three weekends!
4. April 7-11:Â Spring break. It will feel like longer than that if your break includes a road trip to Orlando.
5. May 21:Â Last day of school. That's if a snow day doesn't come into play.
