Gwinnett Places Second In Digital Counties Survey

GWINNETT COUNTY, GA – Gwinnett County took second place among same-size counties in the national 2018 Digital Counties Survey. The Board of Commissioners recognized the achievement at its regular meeting Tuesday.

The awards honor the best technology practices among U.S. counties, including service delivery, open data, collaboration, cybersecurity and disaster response and recovery efforts.

“We’re very excited about this ranking and all the improvements to the County website by our information technology and communications staffs,” said Board of Commissioners Chairman Charlotte Nash. “It’s important that our website be transparent, easy to use and provide detailed information to the public. That’s not easy to do, and this award shows that we are accomplishing that goal.”

The awards are presented by the Center for Digital Government, a national technology research and advisory institute for state and local governments in association with the National Association of Counties.
