Gwinnett Schools Name Semifinalists For Teacher Of Year
The Gwinnett County Public Schools has announced the names of the 25 teachers vying for Teacher of the Year, to be announced in November.
SUWANEE, GA — The field of teachers vying to become the 2019-2020 Gwinnett County Teacher of the Year got smaller on Tuesday, Sept. 24, as Gwinnett County Public Schools (GCPS) announced the names of the 25 semifinalists to be considered for the school system’s top honor.
The group of 15 elementary, five middle and five high school teachers was selected from an initial list of 139 local school Teachers of the Year who were nominated by their colleagues, the GCPS said in a statement.
The 2019-20 Gwinnett County Teacher of the Year will be announced on Nov. 14 at the annual Teacher of the Year banquet at the Infinite Energy Forum, the exhibition hall at the Infinite Energy Center in Duluth.
