Man Slips Into Bathroom, Becomes Masked Robber

He stole cash from the register and a few packs of cigs in the recent robbery at a Citgo gas station on Hamilton Mill Road.

Gwinnett Police are looking for a convenience store robber who slipped into the bathroom, put on a mask, then stole money and cigarettes.

The robbery was reported around 7 a.m. Sept. 24 at the Citgo gas station located at 4131 Hamilton Mill Road.

Police released surveillance images showing the suspect before and after he donned the mask.

Suspect Description

  • Race/Sex: White Male
  • Age: between 20-25 years old
  • Height: 5-8 to 5-11
  • Weight: 150-170 lbs.
  • Clothing: Black t-shirt, black shorts, black Adidas sneakers, black socks pulled ¾ over his calf

“The store owner said that the suspect initially walked into the store and went into the restroom for a few minutes,” a police news release stated. “As the owner was sitting behind the counter, the suspect (now donning a black mask and gloves) approached him from the left side and demanded that he give him all the money from the cash register.”

The suspect took money from the cash register and grabbed a few packs of cigarettes before walking out the door. The store owner did not see any weapons, police said.
