In Memory: James E. Payne, 80, of Hoschton

Mr. Payne was a highly decorated U.S. Army veteran of Korea and Vietnam wars, and a Bronze Star with Valor recipient.

1SG James E. Payne US Army (RET) age 80 of Hoschton, GA passed away on Tuesday, August 4, 2015.

Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 PM on Sunday, August 9, 2015 in the Lawrenceville Chapel of Tim Stewart Funeral Home. Rev. Buddy Rhodes & Rev. Matt Dibler will officiate. Interment will follow at White Chapel Memorial Gardens.

Mr. Payne was a highly decorated US Army Veteran of Korea & Vietnam War & retired after 33 years. He was an MP, Drill Instructor, Scout Dog Handler, and Platoon Leader. During his time of Service, Mr. Payne received a Bronze Star with Valor.

1SG Payne is preceded in death by; Father: Ernest Payne; Mother: Nannie Payne. He is survived by; Wife: Sue Payne, Hoschton; Daughter & Son-in-law: Edwina & Paul Bailey, Hoschton; Daughter: Deborah “Tadpole” Segars, Buford; Son & Daughter-in-law: J.R. & Janet Payne, Lawrenceville; Grandchildren: Glynn Segars, Felecia Payne, Tyler Payne, Jesse Bailey; Host of Family & Friends.
