Obama Nonprofit: Call out Rep. Broun for Being a 'Climate Change Denier'
Organizing for Action asks citizens to "call out" lawmakers who they say do not accept the science on climate change.

A nonprofit organization established to support President Barack Obama is asking citizens to call out members of Congress who reportedly deny climate change is a cause for concern.
According to the Organizing for Action website, "Climate change is real, it's caused largely by human activities, and it poses significant risks for our health. Some members of Congress disagree with this simple, scientifically proven fact."
Rep. Paul Broun (R-GA-10) is among the lawmakers singled out on the website as a "denier in Georgia."

Broun, the website states, "received a standing ovation when he said that global warming is a 'hoax.' He said 'Scientists all over this world say that the idea of human induced global climate change is one of the greatest hoaxes perpetrated out of the scientific community. It is a hoax. There is no scientific consensus.' "Â
BarackObama.com urges visitors to "Call these deniers out. Hold them accountable. Ask them if they will admit climate change is a problem."

The website also includes Twitter links which, when clicked, allow the user to send tweets to the "deniers" such as this one intended for Rep. Broun:Â
"@reppaulbrounmd Stop denying the science of #climate change. It's time for Congress to act."
Broun, who is running for U.S. Senate in 2014, represents the 10th Congressional District, which includes parts of Gwinnett County (including Dacula) as well as Barrow, Walton, Oconee and parts of Clarke County.
