Black Ice Potential Saturday in Georgia

The National Weather Service is warning about the potential for snow and ice on roadways and black ice as roads refreeze in Georgia on Saturday.

A winter weather advisory is in effect until 1 p.m.

Black ice is possible across north Georgia and in parts of central Georgia.

Temperatures will struggle to get above freezing by late this morning into the early afternoon hours.

Some area in the Northeast mountains will not go above freezing at all today.

Be cautious on secondary roads, bridges and overpasses, according to the NWS.
