Chance for Winter Weather on a Wet Wednesday

Questionable forecast leaves the door open for winter weather and/or slick roads.

DALLAS, GA — The National Weather Service expects just a cold rain on Wednesday, but forecasters are careful to note any change in temperature could mean winter weather.

“Temperatures will be hovering at just above freezing, especially during the late morning hours,” according to the alert. “It will not take much of a drop at all for the limited impacts to become more significant.”

Light snow or sleet could mix in with the rain, regardless. But even a slightly colder temperature could mean slick spots, particularly on bridges and overpasses.
