Dallas Native Conley Picked in 3rd Round of NFL Draft
The Kansas City Chiefs picked the former North Paulding High star 76th overall.

University of Georgia wide receiver Chris Conley of Dallas was selected by the Kansas City Chiefs in the third round of the 2015 NFL Draft Friday night in Chicago.

Conley, who played his high school football at North Paulding High School, was the 76th overall pick.
Conley was the second Bulldog to be selected during the first three rounds of the draft, which continues Saturday. On Thursday, Todd Gurley became the first running back since 2012 to be taken in the first round when the St. Louis Rams picked him 10th overall.

Conley, a 6-3, 206-pounder, played in 49 games over four seasons at UGA, catching 117 passes for 1,938 yards and 20 touchdowns, according to a UGA news release. He had team-highs in receiving yards (657) and TDs (8) last season.

Conley also was the SEC’s Scholar-Athlete of the Year, won the Atlanta Sports Awards’ Community Spirit Award and was a first team selection to the Senior CLASS Award. He was named to the 2015 NFF Hampshire Honor Society for maintaining a cumulative 3.2 GPA throughout his career. In addition, Conley represented the SEC on the NCAA Student-Athlete Advisory Committee during his time in Athens.
