Election 2015: New Hiram Mayor's 7-Vote Win is Official
Voter turnout in the city was 16.49 percent (284 of 1,722 registered voters).

Teresa Philyaw’s seven-vote win in the Hiram mayoral election has been certified, the city said.
Philyaw beat incumbent Doris Devey 142 votes to 135 after Tuesday’s general election, with election-day voting putting the mayor-elect over the top.
According to official results released by the city, Philyaw drew a 93-69 advantage in votes at the polls. Devey had garnered more votes in absentee, advanced and provisional voting (66 to Philyaw’s 49).

Philyaw will begin the term on Jan. 1.

- City Council Post 1: Frank Moran beat incumbent Pep “Prather” Rollins 166 to 107. Moran begins his term on Jan. 1.
- City Council Post 2: Incumbent Kathy Bookout (131 votes) beat two challengers, Billy Grant (95) and Terrance White (52). She will continue to serve as Post 2 councilperson.
- City Council Post 3: Jeff Cole (194 votes) beat Jerry Duncan (81). Cole will be sworn in on Nov. 10, and will serve the unexpired term of two years in this post position.
