Fourth Democrat Announces Challenge To Marjorie Taylor Greene
So far, four Democrats and a Republican say they will run against controversial Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene in the 2022 primary election.

GEORGIA — A member of Rome’s city commission is the latest candidate to announce she will run in 2022 against U.S. Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene.
Wendy Davis, who is also a member of the Democratic National Committee, told The Rome News-Tribune that she plans a campaign rollout later this week but filed paperwork now because she was already receiving donations.
“We need a true Northwest Georgia voice for our communities in Washington,” Davis said in a news release Sunday. “I’ll focus on getting results for our families, not chasing national attention with embarrassing, erratic conspiracy theories.”

Davis is the fourth Democrat who’s filed to run against Greene in the primary. The others are Marcus Flowers, a military veteran from Bremen; Holly McCormack, an insurance agent from Ringgold; and Lateefah Conner, co-owner of a dental practice who lives in Dallas. The lone Republican challenging Greene so far is Mark Daniel Clay.
Greene represents Georgia's 14th District, which includes Paulding County, as well as Chattooga, Dade, Floyd, Gordon, Haralson, Murray, Polk, Walker and Whitfield counties and a portion of Pickens.
