Georgia Weather Forecast: Bundle Up This Weekend
Sunday's high will be cooler than Friday's low temperature, according to the National Weather Service. We're also in for one soggy day.

ATLANTA, GA — Want a quick example of how quickly a cold front is forecast to hit metro Atlanta? Try this — the high temperature on Sunday is going to be cooler than the low temperature on Friday.
Forecasters say the cold front expected to blow into north Georgia will send temperatures in metro Atlanta plummeting this weekend. Parts of north Georgia are expected to get their first freeze of 2017 and Atlanta and its surroundings will be seeing low temperatures in the 30s.
It could be cold and rainy. There's a chance of showers Friday night, followed by a 90 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms on Saturday. At least the skies should clear by Sunday.

The coldest we're forecast to get is Sunday night, when the low temperature will be all the way down to 36 degrees, according to the National Weather Service. But Saturday night won't be much warmer, with a forecast calling for a low of 38.

Highs this weekend will only get up into the 50s.
Here's your weekend weather forecast for metro Atlanta, from the National Weather Service:
Friday Night: A 30 percent chance of showers, mainly after 5 a.m. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 55.
Saturday: Showers before 2 p.m., then occasional showers and possibly a thunderstorm between 2 p.m. and 5 p.m., then a chance of showers and thunderstorms after 5 p.m. High near 59. Chance of precipitation is 90 percent and new rainfall amounts are expected to be between a quarter and half of an inch. Saturday night, a 30 percent chance of showers, mainly before 8 p.m. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 38. Northwest wind 10 to 15 m.p.h., with gusts as high as 20 m.p.h.
Sunday: Sunny, with a high near 53. Northwest wind around 15 mph, with gusts as high as 25 m.p.h. Patchy frost on Sunday night. Otherwise, clear, with a low around 36.
