Georgia Weather Forecast: When Will It Rain This Weekend?

ATLANTA, GA — You weren't expecting a metro Atlanta weekend without thunderstorms, were you? If so, maybe you haven't been paying real close attention to the skies lately.

Our daily thunderstorms have been rolling in like clockwork lately, and this weekend promises to be no different. The National Weather Service forecasts showers and thunderstorms every day from Friday through Sunday.

We're most likely to get storms Saturday night and all day Sunday, when the chance for rain will be 50-50. If you're looking for your best chance to enjoy the outdoors, look to Saturday morning. Forecasters say the showers and storms probably will hit mostly after 3 p.m. Saturday.

Here's a look at your weekend weather forecast for metro Atlanta, from the National Weather Service:

Friday Night: A 40 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms, mainly before 11 p.m. Partly cloudy, with a low around 74.

Saturday: A 30 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms, mainly after 3 p.m. Mostly sunny, with a high near 90. Saturday night, a 50 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms, mainly before 3 a.m. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 73.

Sunday: A 50 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms, mainly after 9 a.m. Partly sunny, with a high near 88. A 50 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms again Sunday night. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 72.
