Georgia Weather Forecast: When Will The Rain Stop?

ATLANTA, GA — If the rainy skies that greeted much of metro Atlanta on Monday morning have you down, take heart — it looks like things are going to clear up for the rest of the week.

After a 90 percent chance of rain on Monday, the forecast for the rest of the week calls for clear skies. In fact, the National Weather Service doesn't call for a single percentage-chance of rain any time between Tuesday and Friday.

Temperature-wise, we can officially declare fall weather is finally upon us.

After a predicted high of 70 on Monday, it's not expected to get that warm again until Friday. Get those pumpkins carved, folks. It's autumn in Atlanta. Here's your work-week weather forecast, from the National Weather Service:

Monday: Showers and possibly a thunderstorm before 3 p.m., then a chance of showers. High near 70. South wind 10 to 15 m.p.h., becoming west in the afternoon. Winds could gust as high as 20 m.p.h. Chance of precipitation is 90 percent. New rainfall amounts between three quarters and one inch possible. Monday night, a 10 percent chance of showers before 8 p.m. Partly cloudy, with a low around 51. West wind 5 to 10 m.p.h., with gusts as high as 15 mph.

Tuesday: Sunny, with a high near 65. West wind 5 to 15 m.p.h., with gusts as high as 20 m.p.h. Mostly clear Tuesday night, with a low around 43. Northwest wind 5 to 10 m.p.h, with gusts as high as 15 m.p.h.

Wednesday: Sunny, with a high near 59. Wednesday night, clear, with a low around 42.

Thursday: Sunny, with a high near 67. Clear Thursday night, with a low around 47.

Friday: Sunny, with a high near 70. Friday night, mostly clear, with a low around 48.
