Horace Earl Rowland, 71, Paulding County Native
Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 29, at Hightower's Memorial Chapel in Douglasville.

Mr. Horace Earl Rowland, age 71, of Bremen, went home to be with his Heavenly Father on Sunday, October 26, 2014. He was born in Paulding County, on October 17, 1943, the son of the late Walter Albert Rowland and the late Clara Estelle Milam Rowland. After graduating from Osborne High School in 1961, Horace joined the United States Navy and served shipside during the Vietnam Era and, later, made his career as a Salesman for All Phase Electrical Wholesale Supply—where he remained until his retirement. He was a member of the Dixie Division Military Vehicles Club and could be seen around town selling in his Military Convoy vehicle and selling flags. He was a faithful member of First Baptist Church of Douglasville, the Son Risers Sunday School class and the Keenagers.
In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by his sister, Inez Griffin; brothers, Albert Rowland, Carroll Rowland, Richard Rowland, and Raymond Rowland.

Survived by his daughters and sons-in-law, Mary Rowland O’Hern, and her husband, Brian, of Powder Springs, and Sally Rowland Frith, and her husband, Nathan, of Douglasville; the mother of his children, Linda Albertson Rowland of Douglasville; sisters, Minnie Lee McWhorter, Martha Spake, and Lorraine Horton, all of Bremen; brothers and sisters-in-law, Lamar and Jewell Rowland of Samson, Alabama; Roy and Ann Rowland of Douglasville; Eugene Rowland and Harold Rowland, both of Bremen; grandchildren, Amanda Brand, and her husband, Marvin, Kathryn O’Hern, Matthew O’Hern, William Frith, and Rachel Frith; great grandchildren, Marvin Brand III, Kameron Brand, and Nicholas Brand.
The family will receive friends on Tuesday, October 28, 2014 from 4:00-8:00 P.M.; as well as from 12:00-2:00 P.M. on Wednesday.

Funeral Services will be conducted at 2:00 P.M. on Wednesday, October 29, 2014 at Hightower’s Memorial Chapel with Dr. John Pennington and Reverend R.C. “Ikey” Watson officiating.
Interment will follow in the Cool Springs Cemetery with Military Honors. Members of the Son Risers and the Keenagers are asked to serve as Honorary Pallbearers.
