1. Job Title: Traffic Signs and Markings Supervisor

Salary: Pay Grade 14/ $15.44- $23.79 hourly

This position is responsible for supervising personnel responsible for the installation, maintenance and repair of county roadway traffic signage and striping. Directs field personnel along with responding to field and emergency calls to replace and/or repair damaged equipment.

Qualifications

Knowledge and level of competency commonly associated with the completion of specialized training in the field of work, in addition to basic skills typically associated with a high school education.

Sufficient experience to understand the basic principles relevant to the major duties of the position usually associated with the completion of an apprenticeship/internship or having had a similar position for two to five years.

Ability to meet physical requirements and perform work while working out of a sign truck.

Possession of (or ability to readily obtain within six months of hire) International Municipal Signal Association (IMSA) level II Traffic Signs and Markings certification.

2. Job Title: Road Maintenance Worker-Patching Crew

Category: Department of Transportation

Status: Open

Salary: Pay Grade 7/ $10.98-$16.90 hourly

This position is responsible for assisting in road maintenance projects.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications: Ability to read, write and perform basic mathematical calculations. Sufficient experience to understand the basic principles relevant to the major duties of the position usually associated with the completion of an apprenticeship/internship or having had a similar position for one or two years. Possession of or ability to readily obtain a valid driver’s license issued by the State of Georgia for the type of vehicle or equipment operated.
