DALLAS, GA — The Honorable Judge Jim “Tex” Farr, age 87, of Dallas, GA, passed away on Wednesday, April 12, 2017. He was born on May 16, 1929, in Combine, TX, to the late Albert James & Ruby Farr.

Mr. Farr was a Veteran of the United States Air Force serving in the Korean War. He retired as a City Police Officer in Dallas, TX, after 25 years and also retired as a Paulding County Magistrate Judge after 26 years. Tex was a member of Piney Grove Baptist Church.

Survivors include his wife of 45 years, Barbara Farr of Dallas, GA; daughter, Pamela Ann Weathers of Plano, TX; step-daughter, Sherri Lynn & Edward Rose of Ocala, FL; brothers-in-law, Dr. Terry Don & Nancy Shaw of Acworth, GA, and Doyle G. & Jan Shaw of Kennesaw, GA; three grandchildren, and one great-grandchild.

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, April 18, 2017, at 2 PM, from Clark Funeral Home. Interment will follow in Liberty Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Monday, April 17, 2017, from 5 PM until 7 PM.
