New DC Comics Series To Be Filmed In Georgia

DALLAS, GA — In case you haven’t already heard, the City of Dallas is reporting there is going to be a new show filmed in downtown Dallas. It's called Stargirl, from DC comics, and Dallas is going to be their home set.

The cast will be filming a 13-episode Stargirl series off and on, in Dallas, through September.

Stargirl herself is Nickelodeon’s Bella and the Bulldogs star, Brec Bassinger, has been cast as Courtney Whitmore, better known as Stargirl.

Stargirl was created by former DC CCO, Geoff Johns, as a tribute to his late sister who was among the victims of the TWA 800 crash.

Stargirl has been adapted to live action two other times, the first time she was played by Britt Irvin on Smallville and most recently she appeared on DC Legends of Tomorrow played by Sarah Grey.

Stargirl is scheduled to premiere in 2019 on the DC Universe streaming service.
