North Paulding Footballers Positive For COVID-19 As School Starts
The principal's email didn't say how many players may have been infected — just that they may have been in contact with other students.
DALLAS, GA — The day before Paulding County went back to school in person, the principal of one of its high schools emailed parents to let them know that some football players had already been infected with the coronavirus.
"I want you to know that while preparing for the upcoming season, our football team has learned of both new positive tests and potential symptoms within the program," wrote North Paulding High School principal Gabe Carmona in an email sent on Sunday.
The email went on to ask parents to monitor their children for symptoms because the football players may have been in contact with them.
