Paulding Boys & Girls Club Awarded State Grant Funding For Arts
The organization received a portion of more than $570,000 awarded throughout Georgia.

ATLANTA, GA — The Georgia Department of Economic Development’s Georgia Council for the Arts announced today that the Boys & Girls Clubs of Metro Atlanta in Paulding County was selected as a Vibrant Communities Grant recipient. The organization was awarded more than $3,500 in grant funding for special art projects.
The Vibrant Communities Grant supports arts programming happening in Georgia communities of all sizes throughout the state. The grants invest in cultural infrastructure, buildings, classrooms, theaters, museums, downtown areas, libraries, community centers and schools. The grant also supports the creation of new arts programming.
State Representative Joseph Gullett (R-Dallas) served on the Paulding County Boys & Girls Club for five years. He called the organization "an invaluable resource to our community."

"I look forward to seeing the positive outcomes that this project will have on our citizens,” Gullett said.
“I would like to thank the Georgia Council for the Arts for selecting the Boys & Girls Clubs of Metro Atlanta in Paulding County to receive this important grant funding,” said Rep. Gullett. “Having served on the board for the for five years, I know what an invaluable resource this organization is in our community.

The Council for the Arts received a total of 133 applications for the Cultural Facilities Grant and awarded more than $570,000 in grant funds to 79 entities in 58 Georgia counties. Following a National Endowment for the Arts precedent, the Georgia Council for the Arts used Peer Review Panels to adjudicate applications.
