Paulding County Restaurant Inspections: Happy Hawg BBQ, Longhorn

PAULDING COUNTY, GA — Thinking of going out for a bite to eat? Then check out these scores for these restaurant and food-service operations inspected over the last few weeks in Dallas, Hiram and Paulding County.

Each item on an inspection form has a point value ranging from 1 to 9 points, with violations deducting points from the best possible score of 100. Higher points are taken for items with higher risk to cause illness, while repeat violations take even more points.

Letter grades assigned are A for totals of 100 to 90 points, B for 89 to 80, C for 79 to 70, and U for less than 70.

Of the 28 Paulding County restaurants and food-service operations inspected over the last few weeks, all but one scored an A, with six of them scoring perfect 100s. However, one restaurant — Ichiban Buffet on Jimmy Lee Smith Parkway in Hiram — scored below 70 and was deemed "unacceptable." Ichiban's listing below has a direct link to its inspection report.
