Paulding Readies for Backpack Drive

In a few weeks, qualified families will be able to swing by the Stars & Strikes parking lot, pick up a backpack filled with basic school supplies for their children and enjoy an afternoon of family-friendly activities, food, and drinks.

But the Paulding Family Connection Children’s Cabinet, which is coordinating the backpack drive from 3 to 7 p.m. July 21, needs your help.

The organization is encouraging churches, businesses and community organizations to collect backpacks and supplies toward the effort.

Groups must commit to a certain number of backpacks, and deliver them to P.B. Ritch Middle School from July 8-12 for packing.
