Paulding Schools Hand Out Nearly 550 Lunches Amid Closures
School and county officials handed out nearly 550 lunches to families amid school closures to prevent the spread of coronavirus.
PAULDING COUNTY, GA — The first day of Paulding County School District's Lunch to Go plan went well, school officials said in a Facebook post. The school district is distributing meals to students, who would normally get their lunches from school, due to closures over the spread of the coronavirus.
School district administrators, Nutrition employees, the Paulding Sheriff's Office, school principals and assistant principals, and a district vendor handed out bagged lunches to families from 10 a.m. to noon at three schools on Wednesday.
School officials handed out nearly 550 lunches on the first day.

- Hiram High School: 179 sack lunches
- Herschel Jones Middle School: 111 sack lunches
