Paulding Sports: South Paulding Wins Superintendent's Cup

The award goes to the school with the most successful sports program in the county.

The Superintendent’s Cup is presented each year to the high school that produces the best overall sports program for that school year.

The Superintendent’s Cup will be presented to South Paulding at halftime of the September 18th game vs. Allatoona. A point system is used to determine points for each sport and is summarized below.

For the sports in which there is a county championship, points will be awarded as follows: 10 points for first, 7 points for second, 5 points for third and 2 points for fourth.

Sports for which there is no county championship will receive points as follows: highest winning percentage in each sport receives 10 points, 2nd highest winning percentage in each sport receives 7 points, 3rd highest winning percentage in each sport receives 5 points and the 4th highest winning percentage in each sport receives 2 points.

A region championship earns a school 25 points while a region runner-up earns 15 points. A state championship earns a school 50 points while a state runner-up earns 25 points.
