Project Would Widen Dallas-Acworth Highway to Four Lanes

The Department of Transportation will hold a public hearing on the proposal on October 18.

DALLAS, GA — A plan by the Georgia Department of Transportation would widen Dallas-Acworth Highway (State Route 92) from two lanes to four.

A public hearing will be held October 18 to allow the public to discuss the proposal.

Under current plans, Dallas-Acworth Highway would be widened and reconstructed, from a basic two-lane to a four-lane highway with a raised, 20-foot concrete median.
